Jalebi is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It is enjoyed by millions every day. It’s simple, it is quick, it tastes delicious. They are nice and they look fantastic. Jalebi is something which I’ve loved my entire life.

Jalebi, also known as Jilapi, zulbia, mushabak and zalabia, is a Middle Eastern sweet snack popular all over South and Western Asia. It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. This dessert can be served warm or cold. Jalebi is not just a dessert, but even part of morning breakfast and evening snacks in several parts of India.

To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook jalebi using 10 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Jalebi:
  1. Take 1 medium sized bowl White flour (maida)
  2. Get 1 small bowl Semolina (suji)
  3. Get 1 small bowl Curd
  4. Prepare 2 Green cardamoms, crushed
  5. Make ready 1 tsp Kewra essences
  6. Get As required Cooking oil / pure ghee for deep frying
  7. Get 500 grams sugar
  8. Take 1/2 tsp baking soda
  9. Prepare 1 tsp lemon juice
  10. Prepare Pinch Edible orange food colour

Remove from the heat and add the cardamom and lemon juice - the lemon juice prevents the sugar crystallising. Jalebi is one of the most popular desserts from Indian subcontinent. Similar to Gulab jamun, jalebi too makes its appearance during weddings, celebrations & festivals. Jalebi can be made for any festivals like Diwali, Holi & Eid.

Steps to make Jalebi:
  1. In a large mixing bowl put semolina, white flour, curd, pinch of colour and add water as needed little by little and mix it properly without any lumps.
  2. Make thick consistency batter then cover it and rest it for 30 mins.
  3. In a thick bottomed pan put sugar, cardamom, and 1 and half cup of water or as required. Now turn on the flame and make a thick sugar syrup, - (one tar chashni) lastly add lemon juice, mix it well and now reduce the flame.
  4. After 30 min take prepared batter add baking soda mix it well.
  5. Heat the wok with cooking oil.
  6. Now take a piping bag then fill up the prepared batter and cut the lower corner now make a jalebi shape in the hot oil and deep fry till it becomes crispy and golden in colour on lower to medium flame.
  7. Now remove it on a plate and make this process make all the jalebi.
  8. Now turn off the flame and drop all jalebi in sugar syrup and some kewra essence to it and mix it well.
  9. After 40 mins take out from the sugar syrup and serve it and enjoy it.

Similar to Gulab jamun, jalebi too makes its appearance during weddings, celebrations & festivals. Jalebi can be made for any festivals like Diwali, Holi & Eid. Jalebi is a sweet that is made throughout India, Pakistan, and the Middle East. It is a traditional dish that is an important part of many festivals and celebrations. Jalebi consists of a fried batter, similar to a funnel cake, that is then soaked in a sugar syrup.
