Jalebi is one of the most favored of recent trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions daily. It is easy, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. Jalebi is something which I’ve loved my whole life. They are fine and they look wonderful.
Jalebi, also known as Jilapi, zulbia, mushabak and zalabia, is a Middle Eastern sweet snack popular all over South and Western Asia. It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. This dessert can be served warm or cold. When the sugar has dissolved, add the saffron and bring to the boil.
To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few components. You can cook jalebi using 12 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Jalebi:
- Take For jalebi–
- Get 1/2 tsp Refined flour
- Prepare 1 tsp Cornflour
- Prepare 1 tbsp curd
- Take 1/2 tsp vinegar
- Get 1/8 tsp soda bi carb
- Get 1/4 tsp Turmeric or any food colour
- Prepare For syrup–
- Prepare 1 cup sugar
- Make ready 1/2 cup water
- Take Few saffron string
- Get 1-2 tsp lemon juice
In Bhopal, it is relished with poha! Jalebi is one of the most popular desserts from Indian subcontinent. Similar to Gulab jamun, jalebi too makes its appearance during weddings, celebrations & festivals. Jalebi can be made for any festivals like Diwali, Holi & Eid.
Instructions to make Jalebi:
- Take a big bowl add flour, cornflour, mix well then add curd, mix it then. Then add water in little amount and make a paste.
- Mix in circular for at least 3-4 minutes then add vinegar, food colour and soda bicarb. Mix again and make a smooth paste.
- On the other side in a pan add sugar and water to dissolve it and bring it to a boil.
- Cook sugar syrup for 7-8 mins add saffron string, Then add lemon juice to avoid syrup crystallization.
- Pour ghee on a pan and let it get heated.
- Pour flour paste in ketchup bottle and make jalebi. When it turns golden on one side turn it. After it turns golden from both the side take out and dip in warm sugar syrup.
- Serve hot crispy jalebi with curd.

How is jalebi made Traditionally it is made with a fermented batter of all purpose flour, gram flour (besan), baking soda and water. This fermented batter is then poured in concentric circles in hot oil and deep-fried. Then these fried spirals are soaked in sugar syrup for a few minutes and later served.
