Instructions to make Mshabek / Zulabiya (Jalebi):
- In a big mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix. Then add 1 cup milk. Mix well.
- Add the other 1/4 cup milk in parts. We don’t want a runny mixture. We just want to make a thick paste and mix all the ingredients well.
- Now cover and keep it for about 1 hr. After 1 hr the batter rise.
- Mix it back and add in a piping bag.
- In a non stick pan or wok add oil for shallow frying. Then pour the batter and give shape as you like.cut the end with a scissors.
1. Fry both sides till nice golden brown. Remove in a plate. - Now in a bowl add hot sugar syrup and dip all the Zulabiyas in it and remove in a plate.
- Serve in Iftars.
