Jalebi, also known as Jilapi, zulbia, mushabak and zalabia, is a Middle Eastern sweet snack popular all over South and Western Asia. It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. This dessert can be served warm or cold. They have a somewhat chewy texture with a crystallized sugary exterior.
Jalebi is one of the most well liked of current trending foods in the world. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. Jalebi is something that I have loved my whole life. They are nice and they look fantastic.

- Get 1 cup All purpose flour
- Prepare 1/4 cup Sour Curd
- Make ready 1 tsp Baking powder

- Make ready 3-4 Green Cardamom crushed

Steps to make Jalebi:
- In a pan add 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring it to boil and add the crushed cardamom to it. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely and a syrup with this consistency forms up.
- In a bowl add all purpose flour, baking powder and curd. Gradually add water and mix it well leaving no lumps behind. Add yellow food colour to it and mix it again.
- The consistency of the batter should not be too thick. It must be kinda shown here.
- Now if you have a ketchup bottle then well and good, else prepare a cone from any packet. I used the packet of an oil and prepared a cone. Thereafter add the batter to it and tie it with a rubberband. Give a small cut at the end of the cone as shown here.
- Now heat some oil in a pan and with the help of the cone make the jalebies. Make sure the flame is medium. Cook them until they turn crisp. Lastly add the jalebies to the syrup and leave them for a couple of minutes.
- Take them out from the syrup and garma garam jalebies are now ready to serve. You guys would love it with kachori. Do give a try.ππ
