Jalebi, also known as Jilapi, zulbia, mushabak and zalabia, is a Middle Eastern sweet snack popular all over South and Western Asia. It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. This dessert can be served warm or cold. Jalebi is not just a dessert, but even part of morning breakfast and evening snacks in several parts of India.

The ingredients needed to make Jalebi:
  1. Get 250 gm all-purpose flour
  2. Get 1/2 bowl corn flour
  3. Take 1 pinch food colour
  4. Take 1 cup curd
  5. Make ready as needed Water
  6. Get 1 tsp Lemon juice
  7. Get Sweet syrup
  8. Make ready 2 cup sugar
  9. Prepare 1/2 cup water
  10. Make ready 2 cardamom

Remove from the heat and add the cardamom and lemon juice - the lemon juice prevents the sugar crystallising. Jalebi is one of the most popular desserts from Indian subcontinent. Similar to Gulab jamun, jalebi too makes its appearance during weddings, celebrations & festivals. Jalebi can be made for any festivals like Diwali, Holi & Eid.

Steps to make Jalebi:
  1. Mix well all-purpose flour, corn flour and 1 pinch color
  2. Mix well and add curd. if looks thick add some water and make smooth material. Cover it and keep aside
  3. Take a pan, add sugar and little water on medium flame. And 2 cardamom to enhance taste
  4. Make 1 string syrup. Switch off flame. Keep aside
  5. Heat oil at medium flame. Take a squeeze bottle or zip lock bags… put jalegi material in it.
  6. Make jalebi and let it fry for 1 minute on low flame. turn gradually. when it turns brown. remove jalebi from oil and put in hot sweet syrup
  7. Let it soak for 2-3 minutes. then it's ready to serve hot jalebi.
