Hello everybody, it’s me, Dave, welcome to my recipe page. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, jalebi. One of my favorites. This time, I am going to make it a little bit unique. This is gonna smell and look delicious.

Jalebi, also known as Jilapi, zulbia, mushabak and zalabia, is a Middle Eastern sweet snack popular all over South and Western Asia. It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. This dessert can be served warm or cold. Jalebi is not just a dessert, but even part of morning breakfast and evening snacks in several parts of India.

Jalebi is one of the most well liked of current trending foods on earth. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. It’s appreciated by millions daily. They’re nice and they look wonderful. Jalebi is something that I have loved my whole life.

The ingredients needed to make Jalebi:

  3. Make ready As required Water
  4. Get 1 pinch yellow colour or orange colour
  5. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  6. Prepare For sugar syrup:
  7. Take 500 gms Sugar
  8. Take 500 gms Water
  9. Take 10-15 strands Kesar
  10. Get 1 pinch Orange or yellow colour optional

Remove from the heat and add the cardamom and lemon juice - the lemon juice prevents the sugar crystallising. Jalebi is one of the most popular desserts from Indian subcontinent. Similar to Gulab jamun, jalebi too makes its appearance during weddings, celebrations & festivals. Jalebi can be made for any festivals like Diwali, Holi & Eid.

Instructions to make Jalebi:
  1. Take refined flour in a bowl and mix water and let it ferment for 24 hrs.
  2. After 24 hours check the batter and add baking powder and orange colour and make semi thick batter.
  3. Now take 500 gm sugar and same quantity of water in a pan and let it boil, add kesar strands & a pinch of colour, and make one string consistency sugar syrup.
  4. Now take a bottle with narrow cap (sauce bottle available in market) and fill the batter.
  5. Heat desi ghee in a pan and then check by putting a drop. If it comes up the ghee it ready to fry.
  6. Now put the flame on medium and start forming rings on hign to medium flame & fry till it gets golden brown.
  7. Dip it in sugar syrup for 2 minutes.(sugar syrup should be hot enough).
  8. Now crispy jalebi is ready. Serve it hot and enjoy.
