It is made by deep-frying maida flour (plain flour or all-purpose flour) batter in pretzel or circular shapes, which are then soaked in sugar syrup. This dessert can be served warm or cold. Instructions to make Jalebi:
- For making easy to dessert recipe mix maida, Cornflour and baking soda in a bowl.now add a ghee and orange food colour on the above mixture.add curd and water.mix well until it is thick but has a pouring consistency. Keep it up a side 8hours or overnight.
- To make a sugar syrup heat water in a pan over medium flame.add sugar until fully dissolved.simmer the syrup until it attains one staring consitancy. Add saffron, cardamom powder, and rose essence.
- Now heat a pan over medium flame for deep frying.now fill the jalebi better muslin cloth and a small hole in the cloth squeeze the musalin cloth to make concentric circles.move from inside to outside to make circles. Fry till jalebiws are crispy and golden.
- Soak in the jalebi in sugar syrup for 2-3mintues.Ensure that the sugar syrupis warm and very hot. Now remove from the syrup and place on a tray lined foli paper.
- Decorate the dry fruits and jalebis is serve hot, warm at room temperature.
