Add the soy sauce, salt, pepper, ginger and spring onions and continue to stir-fry for two minutes. Add the rice, mix well and stir fry the mixture for another five minutes until the rice is heated. Cut the bags open and drain well. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok over high heat.
Instructions to make Pineapple Rice:
- Soak basmati rice in water for 30mnts. Squeeze a lemon in the water before soaking
- After 30mnts strain the water and b oil the rice in salt water til 3/4th done. Strain all excess water.
- Cut a pineapple and smash the pulpy part and get the core part cut into small cubes
- In a pan add vegetable oil, when the oil is hot add some crushed garlic and ginger.
- Add onions, and saute lightly. Add carrot, beans, red, green and yellow bell pepper and the core part of the pineapple. Saute for some time.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of soya sauce to the smashed pineapple pulp with all the juice. Don't use much soya sauce as it will overpower the flavour of pineapple.
- Add the sauce to the veggies and mix well.
- Add the cooked rice and mix well.
- Adjust the salt, sprinkle some spring onion greens and cover. Leave for 30 seconds on low flame.
- Switch off the flame and leave for another 2-3 minutes to let the rice absorb the flavour of pineapple and serve hot.
Cut the bags open and drain well. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok over high heat. In a small saucepan, combine water, pineapple, sugar, butter, salt, and red pepper flakes. Cover and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in rice and bring back to a simmer.
