A popular tibetan recipe and also a popular North Indian street food. Veg momos or veg dim sum is the most common and popular street food in Delhi. Though I'm not a big fan of momos, I love the steamed version of it. Momos can be prepared in different ways, e.g. steamed, pan-fried, deep-fried.

Instructions to make Veg Steamed Momos:
  1. Heat oil in a kadhai, add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
  2. Add grated cabbage, grated carrot and finely chopped green chillies.
  3. Saute the veggies for around 2-3 min. Switch off the gas and add salt as per taste.
  4. Take maida in a bowl, add a pinch of salt and water as required to make a tight dough. Let the dough rest for around 10-15 min.
  5. Take a very small amount of dough and roll it out using a rolling pin. Keep the edges thinner and the centre a little thick.
  6. Take a spoon of the stuffing and place it in the centre. Apply a little water on the edges and start pleating till it's completely sealed.
  7. Grease the pan of the steamer with oil and place the momos on it. You can also use an idli cooker.
  8. Steam the momos for 5-7 minutes till it is no more sticky and the colour has changed.
  9. Serve them hot with chilli garlic chutney!

Though I'm not a big fan of momos, I love the steamed version of it. Momos can be prepared in different ways, e.g. steamed, pan-fried, deep-fried. Grease the steamer tray with oil and place the shaped momos at some distance on it. Arrange the momos on the stand, one in each receptacle. Fill water in the pressure cooker upto an inch from the base.
